  • 1 penne pasta

  • 2 tri-color spiral pasta

  • 1 salt

  • 1 extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 butter

  • 1/2 small onion

  • 2 garlic cloves

  • 1 button mushroom

  • 1/2 green pepper

  • 1/2 pesto sauce

  • 2 Philadelphia Cream Cheese

  • 1/3 dried basil

  • 1 fresh basil

  • 1/2 salt

  • 1/4 black pepper

  • 1/4 red pepper flakes

  1. In a large cooking pot or pasta pot, fill 3/4 full with hot water and bring to boil.

  8. Add pasta and 1/4 cup of pasta water to the mixture in the frying pan and stir well to coat.

  9. Add the cream cheese and stir well to coat the pasta.

  10. Reserve the remaining 1/4 cup of pasta water to be used later if necessary.

  11. Serve pasta immediately.

  12. Refrigerate any unused portions. Cover with plastic wrap.

  13. To re-warm the next day. Press parchment paper into a frying pan. Using scissors, cut the protruding parchment paper level with the top of the frying pan., Add 1/4 cup of pasta water and the pasta and

  14. stir to blend.

  15. Cover the frying pan with a lid and heat the pasta on medium heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  16. Serve hot.
